YOUR DOG'S SENSE OF SMELL

YOUR DOGS SENSE OF SMELL

As unbelievable as it might sound.Your dog's sense of smell is100million times better than a human. Scientist have found that the size of that part of a dog’s brain devoted for smell perception is 40 times that of humans.

Over time, some dogs have been selectively bred for better excellence in detecting smell. e.g. the BLOODHOUND, a member of the SCENTHOUNDS are bred for their keen sense of smell.

Dogs have 220 million smell-sensitive cells over an area of about the size of a pocket handkerchief compared to 5 million over an area of the size of a postage stamp for humans.
